Preparations Underway

Thank you for joining us on our 10 Days of Prayer for Japan in January! It meant so much to us to hear from many of you. Thank you for lifting up the country and people of Japan, as well as our family, in your prayers. We were heartened and encouraged, and could feel you standing with us.

Update: Our monthly support now sits at almost 76%! This is a giant praise for us, and something we are so thankful for. We've seen God's hand at work in so many aspects of our lives. We've begun going through our home and sorting what will come with us to Japan, what will be stored in the States, and what will be given away. We will rent out our home while we are in Japan. Our neighborhood has a rental cap, and it looks like a situation is unfolding that will open up a spot for us to rent out our place. We may have also found potential renters, thanks to our neighbors. Praise God for His perfect timing!

Praise: Jeff's LASIK procedure went very well! Thank you for your prayers! Malia was able to work a large portion of her necessary physical therapy hours last month (although she still has some more to go before we depart). We also praise God for continued connections with individuals, including new supporters. We're also so thankful for our current ministry partners who have continued to support us during this whole journey. For this we are incredibly blessed.

Prayer: With the movement on our ability to rent out our home, this brings to the forefront our prayer request for a temporary place to live. The situation is fluid, but at this point it appears we'll need a place to stay starting in late April until we are able to depart for Japan (which will hopefully be around that time in the spring). We would greatly appreciate your prayers for this. Also, Japan extended its state of emergency in the greater Tokyo area until at least March 7. This means we'll have to wait until then before we can submit our Certificate of Eligibility (visa) application. This timing actually works out, as that's about when we expect to get Malia and Mason's renewed passports back. Please pray for a smooth application process for those 2 passports as well as our COE. We also request prayer for continued connections with potential partners in ministry. We are so thankful for referrals!

We would love to hear from you, whether it be to share your prayer requests or to schedule a Zoom meeting so we can catch up and share more details of our plans with you. Please know that we think of you and pray for you often.

Thanks and blessings,

The Walkers

Jeff, Malia, Mason & Kaili
