Abide in Me

It's fall! Along with finally getting some relief from the sweltering Japanese summers, we've been gearing up for a new season of ministry in Ibaraki! Malia's English children's ministry held during service at Tsukuba Life Church (twice a month) and Saiwaicho Christ Church (once monthly) has launched, and it's called "the Treehouse"! The name invokes a warm, friendly place to learn and have fun, and is inspired by the analogy Jesus gave in John 15:5 - "I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in Me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing."

Updates & Praise:

• Malia started her English children's minsitry program during worship service called "the Treehouse." Jeff is assisting. Last week we had 7 new kids join (total 14)! Praise God!

• Malia's mom visited us in Tsukuba last week. It was wonderful to see her and spend time together!

• Mason is on the worship team rotation drumming at Tsukuba Life twice a month! We love to see him using the talents God has given him to help usher others into a time of worship!

Prayer:

• Please pray for the 3 families (7 kids) that joined the Treehouse ministry at Tsukuba Life last week, that they would continue to come and that their parents would stay to attend service. Some of them had previously attended our summer VBS program. Please pray for fun, positive experiences at the church and an openness to the Gospel. And please pray for Saiwaicho Christ Church's Treehouse ministry as well!

• Because of scheduling conflicts in December, we are holding Christmas outreach events in Tsukuba and Chikusei in late November. Please pray for preparations and for the kids who will attend.

• Please pray for Jeff and Ayumi-sensei as they look into starting an English Alpha class (basics of Christianity) for interested seekers and new Christians.

• Please pray for preparations for Malia's English classes that are scheduled to launch in early 2026.
