4 Years in Japan

It's now been 4 years since we moved to Japan! God has brought us through so much in our time here. It hasn't been easy, but we've seen His hand at work through it all. We are so thankful to all of you who support and pray for us and the ministry God is doing in Japan. That is what sustains us. Thank you!

Updates & Praise:

• Praise God for everyone who attended the Easter events at Tsukuba Life and Saiwaicho! We pray that those who don't know Jesus yet will find true hope in Him!

• Praise God our visas were extended for 5 years!

• Jeff completed his 8-week online Japanese Gospel course, which taught many useful phrases for explaining Christian concepts.

• After graduating elementary school in March, Mason was accepted to an international school and joined their 7th grade class this month!

• Elijah has started school for the first time, and though he is having fun, he is also having some trouble adjusting.

• We're thankful for a great time traveling within Japan with visiting family during spring break.

Prayer:

• Please pray for preparations for the Lighthouse VBS short-term missions team this summer, which we are taking a larger role in leading this year.

• Please pray for Jeff's ongoing men's ministry, including S-kun and H-san, as well as preparations for leading an Alpha class later this year.

• Please pray for Malia's Treehouse ministry, as well as connections with the Japanese ladies from hula.

• Please pray for language learning for our whole family, as Jeff, Malia, and Mason are taking a Japanese proficiency exam this summer and Elijah learns Japanese in earnest at daycare.

• Please pray for the kids' school transitions, particularly as Mason adjusts to middle school in English and Elijah to daycare in Japanese.

• Please pray for the search for new renters for our house back in Washington. We're thankful we had the same renters for these past 4 years that took care of our house very well.
