Pray for Japan - Day 3 Mason & Kaili

Between sports, volunteering at school, Sunday School and other activities, it is easy to place our children at the center of our lives. God calls us to prioritize our relationship with Him first, then our spouse, nevertheless, concern for Mason (6 y.o.) and Kaili (3 y.o.) is one of the main reasons we hesitate to move to Japan. We worry about their future: about school, cultural transitions, friends, and emotional and spiritual well-being. But God has it covered. He calls us to trust in Him and continually focus on raising our kids to know and fear Him. He promises to lead us through the inevitable parenting challenges we will face.

"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." (James 1:17)

"Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it." (Proverbs 22:6)

Please pray today for our little angels. Pray for protection from the darkness that seems to cover Japan. Pray that they grow to recognize, know and love the one true God. Pray for wisdom, patience, and perseverance for Jeff and I as we parent them through daily victories and valleys. Pray that God would go before us in all the decisions to be made regarding their schooling and activities in Japan. Pray that they make good friends and that we join a loving community to help raise them.
