Pray for Japan - Day 7 Missionaries to Japan

When we were first appointed as "Missionaries to Japan" by WorldVenture in January 2018, I freaked out a little bit. The title of "Missionary" sounds so formal and so proper and so Christian that we didn't feel worthy. Through this process, God has been teaching us that missionaries are just people with the honor and blessing of working full-time for His Kingdom come.

"When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, "the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." (Matt 9:36-38)

"But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." (Isaiah 40:31)

So please pray today for the missionaries in Japan. Pray for the church planters, the gospel choir leaders, the administrators, the teachers and the innovators. Pray for perseverance through difficult times and peace and rest daily. Pray for good communication and teamwork within churches, schools and missionary organizations. Pray for God's guidance and wisdom in daily decisions, both big and small. Pray for community and encouragement to sustain the workers. Pray also for those of us who are "appointed" but not yet in country and for those who are not yet called but will be. Pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His field.
