Application Submitted!

Happy Good Friday! As we reflect on the amazing miracle Jesus did for us on Easter, we are ever thankful for the unfailing love He has shown us. We want those in Japan to know this love as well. イースター、おめでとう! We are constantly in awe of how God has been perfectly orchestrating our timeline in 2021. We submit to His timing and His will. We are excited that our move to Japan is almost here!

Update:

  • Our monthly support has now reached 95%! (This includes verbal commitments; the official numbers that have been reported to WorldVenture are 91.3%.) That means we have about $490/month of our monthly budget left to raise. We hope to finish raising support by the end of this month, and then move to Japan in May.

    • To finish raising support, we will need our official commitments reported to WorldVenture to reach 100%. So we humbly ask for anyone who hasn't yet put in a commitment but were planning on it, to please put it in with WorldVenture this month. Our heartfelt thanks!

  • Mason's passport was renewed successfully. And the state of emergency in the Tokyo area was lifted on March 21. As such, our Certificate of Eligibility (COE) applications for our visas were officially submitted to the Japanese immigration office on March 24! Now we wait for approval. We anticipate this will take around 4 weeks (maybe even less).

Praise:

  • Praise God for another supporting church, and for several new supporters!

  • We have found a renter for our home! We are moving out of our home in mid-April. Praise God for our friends who have offered to let us live with them temporarily as we continue to prepare for our move to Japan.

  • We also praise God for continued connections with individuals and churches, including new supporters. We're also so thankful for our current ministry partners who have continued to support us during this whole journey. For this we are incredibly blessed.

Prayer:

  • Please continue to pray for God's provident timing. We await our COE application to be approved.

  • Please pray for Japan's borders to open to foreigners. While they are currently processing COE applications, they are not yet giving out visas.

  • We also request prayer for continued connections with potential partners in ministry. We are so thankful for referrals!

We would love to hear from you, whether it be to share your prayer requests or to schedule a Zoom meeting so we can catch up and share more details of our plans with you. Please know that we think of you and pray for you often.

Thanks and blessings,

The Walkers

Jeff, Malia, Mason & Kaili
